Hi! I’m Marleia. Pronounced Mar-Leia (like Princess Leia), but my friends call me Mars for short. I grew up in San Diego, CA and Mililani, Hawaii.
I’ve always had a passion for art. According to my parents, I’ve been drawing since I was less than a year old. I still love to draw and my passion is strongest when creating for other people. I achieved my Bachelors in Art Multimedia and Graphic Design from San Diego State University, and a Master of Fine Arts in 3D Character Animation from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco. Of all the mediums of art, my favorite and most satisfying has to be animation, and deep down I’ve always wanted to be an Animator when I grew up.
My goal as an artist is to continue to fire the fuel and continue create. I want to be good at all of it, but I especially want to be an animator at a studio that tells amazing stories that people love and are inspired by.
I am inspired by animals, the ocean, and the wonderful relationships built by my loved ones. I love to travel, take photos, try new foods, cook, and play video games in my free time.
