Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers is a Disney+ feature film filled with meta. It’s a film that makes fun of every new cliche of Hollywood reboot in its own hilarious way, and filled with cameos for Disney fans and even non-Disney fans. It’s also expressed as an interesting way for Disney to flex how many properties they actually own.
On Rescue Rangers, I was responsible for Previsualization using a method that revolved around flushing out character animation performance first, which then drove the cameras. It was a creative way to practice acting chops, comedic timing, and scene motivation in order to lead an audience. In this sense, it relied heavily on animation skill, unique to every other previs project.
